Six top eco tips from Savannah Miller Savannah Miller has big plans. Not only is she a fashion designer for her own label, Twenty8Twenty, but she is also a busy mum working hard towards living a more eco-friendly lifestyle.

Starting 10 years ago, Savannah drew up a plan to build her own eco home. Currently on year 5, she continues to make small and gradual changes to their home and tries to reduce their household waste more every year.

“Our family is choosing to take smaller steps at first as we work toward achieving a more sustainable home and lifestyle.”

Here are Savannah’s top six eco tips:

• Start by tackling wasteful heating systems in your home
• Grow your own veggies and herbs
• Share one family car and use public transport for days out and holiday breaks
• Recycle water in and outside your home. For example, families can share bathwater and rainwater is easy to store
• Try to reduce waste at your workplace and when you’re out and about
• Look out for the Future Friendly ‘Less Waste, More Reward’ logo on household products in store or here.
