Chewy chocolate drops Lovely treat recipe

• Break up 200g milk chocolate into a bowl and carefully place over a larger bowl of very hot water, ensuring not to let the water spill over into the bowl with the chocolate in it.

• You will see it quickly start to melt if you stir it gently.

• When it is fully melted, remove it from the bowl of hot water and dry the bottom so it doesn’t slip around on your kitchen worktop.

• Add large handfuls of mini marshmallows. If you don’t have little marshmallows  (these are usually found in the cake decorating aisle of the supermarket rather than by the sweets), get large marshmallows and cut them into small pieces.

• Also add a handful of sultanas (sweeter and more juicy than raisins).

• Stir until the chocolate coats all the ingredients.

• Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.

• Get a dessert spoon full of the mixture and place this carefully on the lined tray, slightly pressing it down with the back of the spoon. Repeat to make little bite-fuls until all the mixture is used.

• Leave for at least an hour to harden, then store in an airtight container.

Savvy tip
If you want to make the chocolate melt more quickly and smoothly, use milk chocolate and add just a few pieces of organic chocolate (one with a higher cocoa content).
