2011 – the year of fab hair!
Small changes to your hair routine can make a big difference.
You don’t need a major makeover to stride into a new year feeling great – just sort those locks out and learn how to care for them… here Pantene Brand Ambassador Marie Robinson shares some insights to help you get started.
Try a new shade
If you want to try something a little lighter, darker or with a touch less grey on show, make sure you pick a hair colour within two or three shades of your natural colour so it still matches your skin tone.
Marie says…
• Using a hair care range like Pantene Pro-V Colour Protect is definitely a great way to keep the structure of your hair looking really beautiful as we all know that hair colour can damage the outer protective layer of hair.
• I think it’s good not to over wash hair.
• Saturate your hair with something like Pantene Pro-V Colour Protect Nourishing Shine Spray before you go into chlorine (swimming pools, etc).
Try a new style
Volume – whether pinned up or in a loose shower of wavy locks – is in for 2011. If you always put your hair up, try styling it to add a kink for a casual yet full and flowing effect. Or try a plait detail and follow the woven trend.
Marie says…
• Don’t use styling tools that are too hot, use temperature settings that are appropriate for your hair texture and type so you’re not burning the hair.
Savvy tip
Marie says: “Condition, condition, condition! Hair colour can damage the outer protective layer of hair so it’s always good to saturate it with a leave-in conditioner.”
