Growing Poppies

I have grown several species of poppy this year. Most of what I have grown have been in pots, grow bags or window boxes due to limited space as I am in a ground floor flat. I have managed to grow a few poppies in proper ground though and I have found that poppies are much happier the deeper the soil. So my tip is to give poppies as deep a location as possible fopr their roots to grow, htis will result in healthier, taller and more flowering heads.
