Disappointed

Good for a wet shave, but when shaving dry it doesn't glide across the skin as smoothly as my previous shaver. Like most electric shavers it still struggles to produce a close shave in the hard to reach areas. Not sure the extra cost is justified. Also the motor failed completely on my shaver after 3 weeks use and had to be sent back for repair. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great Shaver but No replacement foil and cutter's

This is a great shaver, but it becomes useless once the foil and cutter fail. It is impossible to find the replacement parts, even from Braun (P&G). Rendering the shaver useless, it is now a paper weight and I have a beard.

By far the best shaver available

I can't tell you enough how good this shaver is, I know it may seem a bit expensive but it honestly is worth every penny. It can easily get a 3 or 4 day stubble down to a very smooth finish, and it's the smoothest shave I've ever had from a shaver, almost no difference at all from a wet, razor, shave at all. I've tried many shavers over the years and almost gave up completely on them due to getting razor burn around my neck but this it the only one i've ever found that doesn't do that to me, it's absolutely amazing and the self cleaning, self lubricating, charging station is so much easier than having to muck about with all that yourself. I can't recommend this shaver enough, I love mine.

Face Saver

I would've given this five starts except I have never used another electric razor so I don't have a comparison. The shaver is lightweight and the head moves with the contours of my face for a close shave. I have to shave more often than I do with a non electric razor BUT I don't have any of the razor burn or bumps my normal razor leaves behind so I'm okay with that. If I go more than 3 days between shaves I have to use a regular razor though because then this Braun Shaver just pulls at the hair instead of cutting it, that's a little uncomfortable. I haven't been able to find prices for the cleaner replacement cartridge or the razor head so I can't review the cost effectiveness of the product. I haven't used the cleaning cartridge yet because it warns that due to the alcohol content it will evaporate rather quickly. I clean it with the brush and running water. Not sure what the price point is for this but I would purchase Braun based on the performance of this shaver and I would be willing to pay a higher price for the quality it provides. The best shave from a wet & dry shaver.

The Braun Series 9 is the best electric shaver on the market today. I've been using it now for 3 weeks and my beard has never been cleaner! It has this great technology called SyncroSonic that removes more hair in one stroke than other electric razors on the market. If you are in the market for a new electric shaver this one is worth every penny. It offers four individual cutting elements for different types of hair and an awesome clean and charge station that keeps the razor feeling brand new. The Braun series 9 has changed the way I shave for good! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A powerful Razer with many options

When shaving, you can buy the basic necessities. But if you want luxury, there are options for you. This razor is one of those options. After using a cheap razor for many years, using this was akin to a getting a fully loaded sports car. So to the meat of the review, let me list my pros and cons. The pros: The head movement provided a great deal of flexibility. The shave was very close and left no stubble. The included wet shave cartridge provided a great feeling and left you feeling refreshed. The stand and the razor itself is beautifully crafted and looks great on the sink Battery life is fantastic The automatic cleaning functions kept it clean and ready for the next shave. The Cons: Complicated. This is really my only complaint. It did take me some time to really figure out all the functions and how to properly use them. Conclusion: This is a great razor. Style, comfort, beauty, and function were all part of the creative meeting at Braun. The product they came up with does in fact combine these together in a great way. Would definitely recommend. Braun Series 9 is great.

Great shaver. Shaves close without irritating your skin. Not so interested in the self cleaning aspect of this shaver but that is just a personal preference. I do recommend this for anyone looking for a close shave without any discomfort. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Fantastic shaver: Great at catching long hairs and preventing ingrown hairs

I have used Braun shavers for pretty much my entire adult life. This even included trying out other brands' circular blades, then quickly returning to Braun. The series 9 is definitely the highest quality shaver I've owned, and there are a few reasons why. I typically go several days without shaving, which means I have a decent amount of scruff when it's time to shave again. And that means I have two concern areas: (1) shavers typically have a tough time catching longer hairs, and (2) I get ingrown hairs. The series 9 has actually handled both very well, and I think a large part of that is the two center trimmers between the foils (rather than a single one on previous shavers I've owned - see attached picture), which do a fantastic job of catching those long hairs. And, as a result, I don't need to go over my skin so many times, and thus I get fewer ingrown hairs. The other key part of the series 9 is it's ability to get wet. I've never been a shave-in-the-shower kind of guy, but I found this feature to be really useful for washing the shaver-I never had to worry. The final two things about the shaver that I liked, but are less critical: the build quality, and the short-hair trimmer. My original Braun shaver lasted several years, but subsequent ones lasted only a year or so. This model definitely feels sturdier, and although only time will tell, I have a feeling it will last me quite a while. As for the short-hair trimmer, it works better than my previous shaver, which tended to unevenly cut my short hairs, but it's still too small to use as your primary trimmer. However, given it's great ability to catch longer hairs, I don't have as much of a need to do that pre-shave trim. That being said, I'd still like a more robust trimmer so this shaver could be the ONLY thing I travel with, as opposed to now, when I have both a shaver and a trimmer, for if I just want to keep the scruff under control. The shaver base and auto-wash ability are also nice, but frankly don't seem all that different from previous models, so I won't address it here. Overall, a fantastic shaver! The Best Shave!

I got a great, close shave with the Braun Series 9. I had no razor irritation on my skin after using it. The cleaning feature is a favorite of mine, it keeps the blades cutting there best. The flexible shaving system adapt well to my face and worked great with three days of hair growth. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Brauns Best Yet!!

I have tried many electric razors from the main two manufacturer's, my last one was the Braun 5 Series (the 360) and I had a mostly positive experience with it. This new Braun 9 Series mostly resolves those minor downfalls that the 5 series has. It provides a very comfortable shave and gets very close, I would say it almost gets as close as a regular bladed razor. The main gripe that I have is consistent on every electric razor I have used, it has difficulty shaving on the left and right side of your neck and the area near your Adams apple. It does do a better job than the others but this is something that would give this razor a Perfect 5 if it performed better in this Area. This has been a great experience using this Braun 9 Series and it is definitely my new Daily Driver for shaving, I give this a 4.5 out of 5, thank you BzzAgent & Braun for giving me the opportunity to try this amazing new Electric Shaver out. Amazing razor!

The razor is amazing. I thought that my previous, non-electric one would be better than the Braun Series 9 shaver, but I was wrong! It is very smooth, and it's also very easy to hold and use. The shaver has very quick recharging, and the base for the charger is very good. I will be using this razor as my future shaver. Best razor of my life! Good Shaver, Trimmer Needs Work

I have a fairly heavy beard, so i'm a little hesitant to give a new shaver a try. I've been using the Braun Series 9 for a month now and it gives a good shave. It (along with just about every electric shaver) doesn't do too well with longer facial hair, but really shines when you need a quick cleanup. The shaving head has large screens and cutting area, and contours nicely to your face (the head swivels more than most razors i've used). The trimmer is where this shaver lacks (docking it a point). I tend to like shavers that have a flip-out trimmer rather than a slide-up trimmer because its easier to make a clean line (because the shaver isn't as much in the way). I had my wife clean up my neck line and she said it took more than one swipe to get all the hair. The shaver feels comfortable in your hand with rubber-ish grips on the back (this is a wet/dry shaver, so thats a plus if your using it after a shower). There is a wet/dry button on the front, from what i can tell, having it on the Wet setting, it gives resistance to the cutting head (a ratcheting motion), versus in the Dry setting, the head moves freely. Overall, this is a good shaver. It does the job, and it does it quickly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Smooth as a . . .

The Braun Series 9 is definitely the best electric razor I have ever used. I have used many razors (Remington, other Brauns, Norelco, off-brand) and this is by far the closest shave in the fewest possible strokes. The razor is very light, has a nice design, and is easy to use. The flexible head helps the razor contour to your individual face. The battery has an incredibly long life; I have used it for six weeks and only charged it one time. And, most razors pull at the hair when it gets too long. Not this razor; I have been able to shave almost effortlessly even after 4-5 days. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was a skeptic...

I'd be the first to admit that I was a skeptic when Bzzagent invited me to sign up to try out the new Braun Series 9 shaver. I've always been a rotary shaver guy. I've probably owned a dozen Norelco rotary shavers over the years. Oh, I've tried a few foil type shavers too. I still have an almost new Panasonic foil shaver in my bathroom drawer. I've just never found one that worked for me. Until now. I absolutely love the Braun Series 9 shaver! This shaver shaves me closer, faster and more comfortably than any shaver I've ever used. I'm retired, so I use my retiree prerogative and skip shaving on some days. My old Norelco couldn't handle my beard if I didn't shave every day. The Braun has no problem handling a 3 day growth. My rotary shaver would sometimes pull at my beard. I had to use a pre-shave to reduce the friction. This Braun glides over my face without the use of a pre-shave. I used to have to go over my face several times to get a clean shave. The Braun does the job after only one or two strokes. I also like the cleaning unit that comes with the Braun Series 9 shaver. I don't use it every day, but after 3 or 4 shaves I drop the Braun into the cleaning unit and it automatically cleans, charges and lubricates the shaver. My shaver comes out feeling like new! Since the Braun is also waterproof, I rinse it off under the faucet between cleanings. If I had one complaint about the Braun Series 9 it would be the popup sideburn and moustache trimmer. I wish it popped up higher. The trimmer doesn't pop up above the top of the shaver. It's fine when you are trimming your sideburns because you're holding it turned sideways, but when you trim your moustache you have the popup trimmer on the other side of the shaver, with the body of the shaver blocking your view, and it's hard to see what you're doing. My workaround is to turn my face left and right as I trim my moustache so that I can see exactly where the trimmer is at. Obviously if you don't have a moustache this won't be an issue. If you're looking for a high quality, top-of-the-line shaver, you definitely cannot beat the Braun Series 9 shaver. I plan on buying one for my son for Christmas. Best Electric Shaver I have had

I have used electric shavers in the past but did not feel that the shave was close enough. Most of the time I have used expensive "disposable" razors. This tends to be annoying as I would forget to purchase refills and end up using the razor too long. At times I can go a week or so with out shaving and found that the Braun Series 9 powers thru the stumble and week old hairs. I feel that the Braun cuts smoothly with out any pulling of hair or razor burn! I have also found that the battery life is long and only really need to charge it every week or so. My wife uses all the outlets in the master so I have to keep the charging station in a guest bathroom. It is great for travel as the battery life is long enough to not need the charging station but I would take it if going for more than 4 or so days. It also does not go off in a suitcase which has happened to me. I feel that the Braun is build solid and will last for years to come. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Cleaning is a breeze

I think cleaning a razor deserves its own section. Till now my biggest hassle with my other electric razor has been cleaning the blades. Its a nightmare even with the clean mode on others. Cleaning with water is also counter productive to the blades if you dont dry them out fully. It will cause the blades to become blunt. The Braun shaver comes with a cleaning dock, thats convenient, it also comes with a cleaning solution, even more so. And the solution is alcohol based which makes cleaning it much easier. So from being a thing I would dread before using the shaver, its one of my most loved features. Just put the shaver in, press a button and boom ! Its clean. Really great shaver!

I have used this shaver just about every day for over a month now. This has been one of the best shavers i have used in a long time. Shaving: The shaver itself is great, has a nice feel in the hand and the very flexible head worked well to get around the curves of my neck. I enjoyed the closeness of each shave and after my face got used to the shaver (took a few days) it was pretty effortless and caught all of the usual "tough-to-get" hairs. My only complaint was that i went 3 days without shaving and then tried to use the shaver, it did not work well. I had a ton of straggler hairs and it just refused to pick up and it left a bunch of little hair "droppings" (for lack of a better term) all over my sink. I realize its not really meant for that many days of growth, but i sometimes dont shave for a couple days, so i wanted to see if i could use it to shave instead of my usual razor for that kind of growth...needless to say, still need a razor for anything more than a day or two. See the attached photo for the "Aftermath" of my 3 days without shaving and how my neck sort of broke out after trying to make so many passes over it to get the straggler hairs. For this reason i'm taking away a half star (but i can only do full stars, which is why it has 4/5, i'd like to get it a 4.5/5!) Battery Life: I got exceptional battery life out of my unit, did not need to charge it for a long time, even went on a week long trip with it and didnt even bring the charger, no problems! That being said, when it was at home it spent most of its time on the charging base, which was very easy to use. Base: The base is very easy to use and it has a built-in cleaning function as well, read the manual for what the lights mean, its not very self explantiory what the lights mean, but once you take the time to read what they mean, it makes sense. The cleaning functionality worked really well and my shaver came out looking brand new and provided a fresh, clean shave. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

AMAZING!!!!!!!

I really really have enjoyed using this. I like to use the clipper to trim down my facial hair when it gets longer and then I go to the razor portion to get the close shave. Like most electric razors you have to do a few rounds to get all the hairs cut, but it is still very effective. I prefer electric razors because I would get a lot of in grown hairs from using a manual razor due to it cutting too close to the skin. I've owned a few electric razors in the past, but this one has by far been my favorite. I would, and have, recommended this product to several friends and colleagues. Fancy razor, but not the smoothest shave,

The Series 9 is an amazing looking, industrial electric razor, with a really nice chrome finish with a rubber grip and an LED display that shows the battery life and a cleaning indicator. Unfortunately, it is prone to picking up fingerprints. It comes with a leather pouch, which is a convenient way to travel with it. Its charging dock is both a clean and charge dock, wherein you insert a container of cleaning solution at the bottom and the razor can self clean with the touch of a bottom. The cleaning cycle is about 3 minutes, and dries for another 45 minutes or so. Cleaning is a bit on the loud side, especially initially. The razor is capable of dry or wet shaving, and I tested both ways. Unfortunately, neither wet nor dry led to a very smooth shave (certainly not as smooth as using a traditional non-electric razor), which is my biggest problem with this razor. I tested it using a few days growth of hair, and also after buzzing down my facial hair to a smaller length, thinking that it didn't very work well initially because my facial hair was too long. Neither method worked very well, it either routinely missing a few pieces of hair, or leaving me with stubble. Cosmetics and perks aside, for the reason that it does not provide me with as clean a shave as I would like. I probably won't continue to use it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Braun Series 9095

I want to say that I had an older Braun shaver for years that has lasted and preformed flawlessly but I was due for an upgrade. Well Upgrade I did with the new Braun Series 9095 wet / dry shaver that was sent to me to try. This shaver is awesome. I thought my older model was great but once I got the new one that bzzagent send me and I was astounded by how well it preformed. I was skeptical about the wet shave but you have made me a believer. Bravo Braun you have out done it with the Series 9095. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Braun Series 9

Elegently designed while providing a comfortable shave

When I was first approached to try and give my honest feedback regarding the Braun Series 9 razor, I was excited. I research every big purchase and proceeded to dig around for more information on this razor as if I was picking it out myself. I had no luck finding any information on this razor, so I was left completely unsure what to expect. The razor, charging/cleaning base, cleaning fluid, and travel case were packaged very nicely. This helped to reinforce the fact that this is a premium razor. The razor is a slick chrome on the front and a textured, black, slightly rubbery-feeling plastic on the black, which provided a great grip. Located on the back of the razor is the trimmer that glides out smoothly when pushed upwards and the safety button in the center is depressed. This small detail shows the thought that was placed into the design of the razor. I have yet to accidentally slide the trimmer out while using the razor. The display located on the front of the razor itself is a bright blue, that is easy to see/read. The slightly recessed power button works flawlessly and is placed in such a manner that it will not be accidentally pressed. The only other control on the razor is a large, textured, switch that allows the head to float or be locked into place. The placement and size of this switch allows for easy adjustment when shaving. The charging/cleaning base for the Braun Series 9 razor is a glossy black that shows fingerprints easily. The razor sits in head down and the alcohol based cleaning solution does a great job, leaving the razor head with a slightly slick feeling that, in my opinion, cuts down on any irritation. However, the cleaning cycle can be a bit noisy and I would be reluctant to use it with someone sleeping nearby. My biggest complaint with this razor is the plug for the unit. The plug and wire sticks out of the wall at a straight angle. If your vanity is cramped, the plug sticks out and gets in the way. This detracts from the clean look of the unit. The battery on the razor is robust. When I had to fly to another state to attend a wedding I packed the razor in the elegant travel case to use while out of state. When I arrived home 4 days later I still had battery life left. While on the trip, my wife ended up needing to borrow the Braun 9095cc as she left her cartridge razor at home. She was pleasantly surprised with the outcome and admitted that it works in a pinch. It didn't shave as close as what she is used to, but it did what was needed in a time of need. After weeks of using the razor, I have yet to find a fault with the performance. The razor does indeed do a great job on "3 day beards" as advertised. I have a habit of skipping shaving for a day or two...or four and this razor is able to handle it with ease and in the process provides a pleasant lack of irritation. I have noticed that a few straggling hairs are left over, however, using the trimmer on the back takes care of them quickly. This is truly the best electric razor I have ever had the privilege to use. I have not picked up a cartridge blade since unpacking this razor and plan to continue to use this as my primary razor. Amazing Shave - Great Look and Feel

This review is based on my initial reaction to receiving the product, as well as the first few shaves. I'll certainly post a follow-up with my thoughts after using for the an even longer period ---- My first thoughts when I first opened the box was wow! The product itself and the packaging are very impressive, from the graphics on the box, down to the glossy metallic-like look of the shaver itself, even to the nice leather travel case. I found the product pretty easy to set up -- though the instructions could be a little clearer (a little too picture dependent and not enough written description with explaining the cleaning process or the indicator lights on the shaver and cleaning base -- but I may be a little nit-picky here). I must admit I have been an electric shaver user for a long time, and I shave about 3-4 times a week, so this was right in my wheel-house. Even after just a few uses, I can confidently say Braun has replaced my Norelco. I loved the ability to use the shaver either on the dry or wet shave setting. I found that it gave an incredibly close shave, even on the tough spots under the cheekbones and neck. I found that it gets the hair on the first or second pass maximum, so there is less irritation of my skin. Last, I also really like the cleaning feature. Just drop the shaver in the base and let it clean and dry itself, it's like a new shaver each time. I cannot tell you how annoying it'd be to clean the shaver heads on my Norelco / how annoying it would be to shave as the heads got clogged. So this review is based on my first reaction to the product and first 5-6 shaves (so about 2 weeks worth of use). Excited to share more of my thoughts soon! Braun Series 9 9095 Hits it Out of the Park

I have been using an electric razor for over 25 years and am a big fan of Braun razors having owned an old one (can't remember model number ) and a Series 5 5030. Based on that, I was very excited to receive an invite to try the Braun Series 9 9095, especially since it had a cleaner which I have never used before. After I opened the box, I was very impressed by the silver/chrome appearance. It made the razor seem futuristic and high-end. My sons said it reminded them of something from Star Wars! The razor seems to be lighter than my Series 5 5030 with very easy to read displays with razor cleanliness and charge level. I can grow thick facial hair quickly, so I decided to try the Series 9 9095 at the end of a weekend after not shaving for a couple of days. The razor was able to give a clean shave with minimal effort. One piece of advice for those tough to reach areas is to make sure to follow the directions about which way to hold the razor and direction. It has continued to give clean shaves in the weeks since I have been using it. I have never used a cleaning/charging station before, so I was interested in using it. The set-up was very easy and it was ready to go in a couple of minutes. The display on the station is very clear on what stage of cleaning will be done. The cleaning/charging station takes up quite a bit of room on the counter. If you have limited space, that might be a challenge. The other thing that surprised me was how loud the cleaning cycle was. It was loud enough that I could see it waking up other family members. For that reason, I don't clean the razor in the morning. I haven't needed to replace the cleaning cartridge yet, so I can't speak to price vs. benefit. It was nice not to have to empty the razor head to remove the excess hair. I also appreciate the ability to use the razor in dry or wet settings. I have a goatee, so I need to watch where I shave to avoid mistakes. Therefore, I haven't tried to shave in the shower but am glad that option is available or that I can clean the razor with the faucet. Overall, the Braun Series 9 9095 razor is another great product from Braun and I am looking forward to using it for years to come! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Very Close Shave; Requires Frequent Cleaning

I was pleasantly surprised at the very close shave the Braun Series 9 shaver provides. In fact, this electric shaver provides as smooth a shave as any razor I've ever used, which includes a safety razor. I did not expect this. I was expecting a device I could use to maintain my appearance in between shaves with my safety razor. But the performance delivered by the Braun Series 9 renders this unnecessary. I have used the shaver in both wet and dry modes, but I've gotten such a close shave in the dry mode I haven't found it necessary to expend the, albeit little, extra time and effort to use the shaver in the wet mode. Since starting to use this shaver, I have not needed to use any other type of razor or shaver. Cleaning the shaver is easy. You simply place it in the charging/cleaning station and push the 'on' button. If I had one negative takeaway from my experience with the shaver thus far, it's that it tends to require cleaning often (every 2-3 shaves). This isn't terrible because, as I stated, the cleaning is incredibly easy to conduct. Power - the shaver has held it's charge very nicely. Other than the time I've had the shaver on the charging/cleaning station, I have not needed to charge the shaver any further. I use the shaver every morning and evening, and it has consistently had a strong charge. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

BEST SHAVER I HAVE EVER USED

I think this product is great in every way. Smoothest and cleanest shave, and love the self washing holder, that cleans your shaver for you. Best Electric Shaver I have tried

From gifts and BzzAgent, I have received numerous electric shavers and trimmers. I have the Braun Cool Tec (from BzzAgent the model without the self-cleaning stand) which does a great job. I have also received as gifts the Philips 7310 and the Wahl Shaper CL-8547 . I also have various beard trimmers from Gillette Fusion Proglide Styler 3-In-1 Men's Body Groomer With Beard Trimmer (from BzzAgent), and a Wahl 9918-6171 as a gift. Now I have the pleasure of using The new Braun Series 9095. As a guy who normally does the wet shave, I found this shaver quite effective. The problem spots are still there for me; the sides of the jaw bone and the bottom of my neck. I would say the biggest concern for a normal wet shaver who wants to take the plunge and buy the 9095 is if the face feels extra dry and rough as can happen when you start using dry shavers. I do not seem to have that issue with either Braun product. The 9095's blades do a superb job of getting the hairs on your face the first time (as long as the shaver is held perfectly straight to the face). The 9095 is water proof so you can shave in the shower or even use it as a wet shaver with shaving cream. The self-cleaning system is a helpful addition when you just need to shave and go with no time to manually clean the shaver yourself. The shaver comes with a handy leather pouch to travel with, although I wish it had breathing vents on the pouch so that if the 9095 is still somewhat wet it can slowly evnt that moisture out. Overall it's a versatile shaver that can be uses wet or dry and self cleans so you don't have to. I whole heartily recommend the Braun 9095 to anyone who wants to try an electric shaver or someone who hasn't found the right one yet, this might be the one for you. Best shaver money can buy!

This is my first experience with an electric shaver, before this I have always used a standard, replaceable blade razor. I was invited to try the Braun Series 9095 shaver by BzzAgent, as part of a demo campaign, and after several weeks of use, I am extremely impressed. Obviously, this shaver is much bigger to hold, than what I am used to, but it was ergonomically designed with smooth contours, and a soft leather handle making it very comfortable in your hand. Visually it is a beautiful tool with sleek silver/chrome finish, and polished black accent trim. It comes packed in a sturdy and secure box, containing everything you need to get started. Included in the box is the shaver, the docking/charging/cleaning station, one cartridge of cleaning fluid, power cord, travel carrying case, cleaning brush, and instruction booklet. The Braun Series 9 shaver has a lot of great features. - It is waterproof which allows for wet or dry shaving. If you prefer shaving in the shower that’s no problem, or if you need to take it on the go to shave in car that’s also an option - The unit can fully charge from dead in 5 hours, and have enough power for nearly 5 hours worth of shaving. - In addition to the shaving head, there is also a precision trimmer for getting the perfect cut. - The autolock feature is perfect for traveling, you never have to worry about the shaver getting bumped, turning on in your luggage and burning through the battery. My personal experience, the shaver works great. It did take a few days getting used to, and did cause slight irritation the first couple of times I used it, especially on my neck, but my skin quickly got used to it quickly. The shaving head adjusts to the shape and contour of my face, providing a great shave. I will admit it is not as close a shave as with a standard razor, but it is quicker, more convenient and cleaner (no shaving cream/gel) needed as lather The shaver is very low maintenance. The shaving head comes off with a simple click, allowing you to rinse it under the faucet and tap out the hair from previous shaves, depending on how often you shave, this may have to be done more frequently. Placing the charger in the docking station, the blades will be cleaned by a pre-programmed cycle that helps keep the blades fresh, and prevent them from dulling. One great feature for those who travel, the power cord for the docking station, can also plug directly into the shaver, to provide a charge. This is beneficial to those who travel regularly, as you do not need to worry about bringing the entire docking station, just the power cord. Overall, I’m very impressed. Whether this is your first electric shaver, or you are looking for a new one, I’m not sure how the Braun Series 9 could possibly disappoint. I have highly recommended this to friends and family already, and doubt I will ever go back to a standard razor blade. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Fantastic Electric Razor

I love the Braun Series 9! Quick, close and not messy at all. I was never a big fan of electric razors. A few months ago I decided to give the Braun Series 5 a shot. It was amazing. Then I had the opportunity to upgrade to the Braun Series 9 - even better! I highly recommend this razor to anyone. It offers a nice close shave. I have a pretty thick beard that grows in quickly. This handles the job. There is no pulling or cutting myself. It also does not leave a mess all over the bathroom counter the way a traditional razor does. I honestly do not know why I took so long to give the electric razor a try. They have made a lot of nice advancements over the years. This razor also cleans itself. After a couple of uses I dock it in the cleaning station and viola all clean for the next use. It also comes with a handy, dandy travel pouch that is great for over nights. I guess my favorite thing is just how quick and easy it is to shave with this razor over the traditional razor. Just a couple of minutes before I head out the door for work and I am good to go! Braun Series 9

I'm mixed on this razor. On the one hand, this gives me a super smooth shave with no razor burn at all. It leaves my face feeling great. On the other hand, there are spots on my face it just won't shave, no matter what I try. Used in conjunction with a regular disposable, the shave is absolutely amazing. A New Razor Perfect for Trips

So I was provided a Braun Series 9095 razor by BzzAgent to test out and have been using it for almost two months now. I've tested out everything I could imagine and even let a few friends test it out to gather additional feedback. Here's the results: -Battery life: This is my favorite aspect and it's great. I probably use this razor every two days to touch up my facial hair and have only had to charge this device a total of two times. I think I probably could have gotten away with charging it once over the past two months, but I was going on vacation and wanted to make sure it would last the whole time. The battery life was a complete surprise and I couldn't ask for anything more. The charge display is very intuitive. -Regular shaver (dry): At first I wasn't too sure how this shaver would work as it seemed to take longer than normal to completely remove all the hairs. It didn't seem to trim all the hairs completely and there would be several pieces of hair that I would have to go over several times to get it to remove. As time went on, this got better and my shaving times were reduced - I'm not sure if this was due to the razor "breaking" in or just me getting accustomed to using it. Regardless, I did start enjoying shaving with the standard shaver and would never need to use any cream or aftershave. This shaver didn't provide a closer shave than any other electric shavers I've used, but I can definitely admit it provided a much better/quicker way of shaving around curves (especially the chin). I never had it pull a hair or feel uncomfortable. -Regular shaver (wet): I tried several times using the wet mode and shaving my chest in the shower. No luck at all and this was very difficult to get a clean shave. I prefer using my cartridge razor for this. -Trimmer: I don't really keep or maintain facial hair, so my use of the trimmer attachment was very limited. It did work for touching up my sideburn lines, but I would say it was quite small and I would have to use 2-3 swipes to touch them up. The attachment could be longer in my opinion, but I could see how that would make it difficult to touch up other facial hair styles. -Carrying case: Smooth and stylish carrying case for the razor. Used it constantly for any trips I went on. Didn't test out the durability of the case to see how well it protected the razor from drops, but could imagine it would do the job. -Cleaning/Charging station: A little big and bulky, as it takes up a decent amount of space on the bathroom sink/counter. I've never had a self cleaning shaver, but it seemed to work pretty well for my short hairs that I was usually collecting in the head. The plug is pretty large and sticks out pretty far from the wall. I always left it unplugged since it was unappealing. I had moved to a new house in the past few months and thought the station might keep all the cleaning fluid contained, but it's not a watertight seal or anything. Be careful when moving around -Price and final statement: In the end, the Braun Series 9095 razor was great and really well designed. A lot of respect for thinking about many quality attributes and necessary features. Although, I'm not sure if the price warrants it's purchase as it doesn't provide any amazing features over other electric razors. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A great improvement over the CoolTec series

I've had the Braun Series 9 shaver for almost 2 months, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. Prior to owning this shaver, I had been using the Braun CoolTech series for over a year. I was generally satisfied with the CoolTec and didn't have any glaring complaints about it. It comes as a surprise that the Series 9 shaver has proven itself to be superior in just about every way in comparison. I'm going to use this review to explain how the Series 9 compares to the Cooltec in several key areas: Design - This is probably the only area where it's a toss-up. The Series 9 looks very sleek with its all silver body, but the CoolTec was a nice looking shaver too with it's rubber grips and blue body. Braun knows how to design a premium looking shaver, and neither shaver disappoints in this area. Function - The main reason for buying a shaver in the first place. For the record, I don't have a ton of facial hair. I keep a mustache and a goatee, so my shaver is used to keep the rest of my face clean looking. FYI, I use a separate trimmer to manage the length of my facial hair. I never had any major issues with my old CoolTec. However, I always noticed that it didn't provide the closest shave. It did the job but was noticeably inferior to a standard razor, which was to be expected. However, the Series 9 shaver has proven that you can get a very close shave without having to deal with razor burn. I know that using a standard razor with shaving cream is the best way to get the closest shave possible, but I can't imagine another electric razor giving me a closer shave. In hindsight, I realize how deficient the CoolTec was in terms of giving me a close shave. The Series 9 has other a couple of other features that help with trimming hair that lies flat or grows in different directions. I've never tried to fully shave off my mustache or goatee, but I know that I've accidentally shaved a few strands off my goatee, so these features appear to work as advertised. My CoolTec had difficulty cutting hair beyond a certain length, so if you need your shaver to get you from hairy to smooth, it looks like the Series 9 is up for the task. Weight - I never really thought that my old CoolTec was all that heavy. However, the Series 9 is noticeably lighter. I don't spend more than a minute or so shaving my face, so hold a heavier shaver isn't really an issue for me. Nevertheless, if you need to use the Series 9 shaver for an extended period of time, your arm won't get tired due to its weight. Battery Life - In keeping with the theme of this review, I never had much issue with my CoolTec's battery life. I had to recharge it every couple of weeks or so, which I thought was reasonable. However, the Series 9 has set a new standard with its battery life. I haven't had to recharge it since I acquired it. The battery indicator is a very welcome feature given the fact that most trimmers and shavers don't have one. Now I don't need to guess at how much battery life I have left. As for the current charge of my Series 9, I wouldn't be surprised if it lasted another month, which would mean that I would only need to recharge every 3 months or so. Cleaning - I haven't had to clean my shaver yet, so I can't speak too much on it. However, I know that it's easy enough to pull the head off the trimmer and rinse out the blade. Both the CoolTec and the Series 9 shavers can be cleaned with the Clean and Charge station. However, I never used it for my CoolTec, and I doubt I'll use it for my Series 9 shaver. Trimmer - The trimmer on both shavers is functional, but I can't imagine using it regularly. In my opinion, a separate, small trimmer works better for me. Overall, I'm very impressed with the Series 9 shaver. I was content with my CoolTec shaver, but the Series 9 has blown it away with its superiority. I would highly recommend this shaver to anyone looking for a high quality electric shaver that actually provide a close shave. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Braun Series 9 Shaver is amazing!!!

I have to admit I do not use an electric shaver because I felt they never worked. That is not true of the Braun Series 9. This is the first time in my life I actually received a good shave from an electric shaver. This is by far the most innovative part of my morning routine. All around amazing shaver

The Braun Series 9095 has been an excellent shaver. It is quick, and simple to use. I have found that it requires very little cleaning or maintenance in between uses. While I do not have very thick facial hair, I found that I got a very close shave after each use. It has been very easy and quick to give myself a shave in the morning before heading into work for the day. The best thing for me about the Braun Series 9095 is that I can use it in the shower. It feels really good to shave after being under the warm water. I find that I get an extremely close shave, without any tugging, pulling or pain that I have had happen with other electric shavers. I mainly use it daily in the morning for a quick shave before work and have found that it can last more than a few days without having to be charged every time. It also has the automatic cleaning station, which makes it really easy to keep clean and maintained. The head is easily removable to easily clean and make ready for the next use. It also came with a nice leather case for travel purposes, that fits the shaver really nicely and is of high quality. Over all I have been very happy with this electric shave, and look forward to what Braun will be bringing out in the future. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Good on face, bad on neck

I was excited that I had been selected to participate in the Braun 9095 campaign with BzzAgent. I have never used an electric shavers and was happy to finally try one. The razor has a very good look to it with a flexible head that you think will get to all the harder to reach spaces. It also comes with a nice travel bag and a cleaner, all great perks. The cleaning base is a bit large and takes up a significant amount of counter space. The first time I used the shaver I had longer than normal hair and had to make several passes for it to finally get to a smooth shave, it probably took me twice as long as using a razor would have and it flat out didn't cut certain areas of my neck and I had to pull out a razor to get those spots cleaned up. The next time I started with shorter hair and this time the shaver performed much better, due to a shorter stubble. After multiple uses it was a similar experience, when I used it daily it did a decent job of keeping face smooth, but if I went more then 2-3 days between it was not good and I had to clean up with a razor. Think for someone that shaves every day or has thin hair this is a great razor, but if you don't shave frequently and have thick hair you might be better off sticking to a razor. Overall it is a good razor and does it’s job, but not a good fit for my lifestyle. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The Razor to beat all Razors

I have been using this razor for a few weeks and love it. As it is a wet/dry razor, I first tried using it dry. The results were good, but not what I would consider great. I then tried it wet and the results were remarkable. This razor is easy to use and the self cleaning function works well. It's not too bulky and the weight isn't too bad. The main drawback I see with this is potentially the cost of replacement blades. I would certainly recommend this razor to anyone looking for an excellent razor that consistently delivers a smooth, close shave. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The Cadillac of Razors

This Braun Series 9 has a lot of bells and whistles bust delivers on most of it promises. This is the first razor that I've owned that could be used in a shower, first with a self cleaning stand & first razor in a while that was this straight type. Firstly, I am very impressed with the Series 9's ability to handle several days of beard growth. I have the habit of not shaving for several days, but this razor cuts through it like its nothing. The ability to use this in the shower was particularly nice. I have found that shaving in the shower produces a much smoother shave than I've gotten with any electric razor before. (Of course, you should remember that you might need to pick up a small mirror for the shower so that you can see what you are doing!) The one things I found with shaving that it has taken some practice to get good coverage around my mouth, chin and nose. The razor comes with a slider that locks the head in place to help you get these areas. I'm not sure if this is just something with all straight type razors that I'm just learning now, but it's worth noting. The self cleaning function is also helpful. It supposedly has several levels of cleaning, but I've never seen it use anything other than the highest. It should be noted that the cleaning process is not quiet as it injects the cleaning solution & then runs the razors, drains and repeats. After it finishes cleaning there is a fan that dries off the razor. It is not loud, but it should be left on to let the razor dry. The one thing I am concerned about with the self cleaning is the cost of the cleaning solution. This is a potential extra cost that I've not run across before, but as it hasn't needed changing yet in my month of usage, it shouldn't be too bad. Battery charge has not seemed an issue. As I am running low on outlets, I only plug the base in after my shower to clean the razor. I let it stay on overnight and unplug in the morning. I'm not sure if I've ever depleted the charge more than 1 bar, which means there should be plenty of uses if you can't keep the charging base plugged in all the time Overall, the Braun Series 9 is an excellent razor that I would recommend to anyone. A little bulky, but great shaver.

Overall, this is a great shaver. It is sleek, looks good, and most importantly it holds up as a great tool for the bathroom. I usually rock a beard most of the time and the biggest thing for maintaining it is the edges and my neck. What I like about the Braun Series 9 shaver is that it completely satisfies my need even though I don't fully shave. The shaver gives me a smooth neck line an the back clipper tool helps me keep the edges of my beard looking clean. My only negative about the shaver is that the package as a whole (i.e the razor and the stand) is a lot of space on the counter. Don't get me wrong, the stand looks great and I love the self cleaning option. I personally just don't like how much space it takes up on my counter. Being that the shaver is something I am using almost daily, I have to keep the stand on the counter. Great razor nonetheless and it definitely has my thumbs up for quality. Excellent Shaver, although not the best ever

An excellent overall shaver. I have previously been a Norelco user, initially this took some getting used to as the shaving mechanism on the Norelco is different and takes a little time for the hairs to not pull on this shaver. The Braun 9095 provided me with a rapid and very close shave, something i was extremely surprised with, and enjoyed very much because of this. Overall, I am very pleased with this product. The included Mustache / Sideburn trimmer is of excellent quality an i am happy this was improved in this model. Get this razor.. You won't regret it. Finally an Effective Electric Razor!

Let me preface my review with this: I can grow facial hair. My five-o-clock shadow arrives at 1PM. If I were to become a superhero, hair growth would somehow be my superpower. I've debated entering beard contests just because it feels like an event I could be competitive in. So I think I'm definitely qualified to review this product, however my results may not match the experience of the average individual with average (or normal) facial hair. I typically shave with a disposable blade (Schick Hydro 5). I'm a CPA who meets with clients regularly, so I typically shave 3-4 times a week. I've used an electric razor before, but that was many whiskers ago, and the results were poor. So I was excited to try out the Braun Series 9095. I'm not going to spend time on the extras - the base that charges AND cleans the razor (a very interesting experience to see, for sure). Or the handy travel case. These are all great, but the key to a product like this has to be the performance of the razor. This razor definitely exceeded my expectations! It provides a close, comfortable shave and truly seems to save me time getting ready in the mornings. It took a week or so to get used to the shave, but once I did I was satisfied with the results. The shave seems comparable to my old blade and shaving cream routine, but is quicker and less of a mess. It's handled three-day growth with no problems. I have not used it in the shower, however it can handle both wet and dry shaving. The battery lasts forever on a single charge, and it has a digital display to show the life left so you're not stopped in the middle of a cordless shave. There are a couple of areas where I think this razor comes up a bit short. First, it's difficult to trim around facial hair (sideburns, goatee). Getting a precise edge is difficult, even with the flip-up trimmer. The trimmer doesn't cut well, and seems to have a tough time making a clean sharp edge. The second weakness is I noticed at times the blades skipped hairs over multiple shaves - particularly on my neck. Again, I have healthy facial hair, so it's possible the average face may not have that issue. The past two weeks, I've shaved with a disposable blade on Monday to get a clean shave from the weekend, then used the electric all week. This routine seems to work wonderfully for me and seems to eliminate these two issues. The price tag on this razor is a bit high, but I truly believe over time this product will save some money over disposable razors for me. The biggest plus for me seems to be the convenience and time saved in the mornings, which with a hectic job and kids to care for means much more than the initial cost of the razor. Give it a shot, I don't think you will be disappointed with this product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Better just got even more Better

I have been using Braun Series 7 since last 2 years and was eagerly waiting for the Braun Series 9 to arrive. Having said that, once I received it, I put it to test right away. Been using it daily for almost a month now and I can guarantee that this new product performs better, sleeker and smartly then I one i currently use. My chin area was always the hardest to get rid of stubborn hair, but Braun 9 has that taken care of. The battery power is longer which means I get more powerful cleaner shaves and have to charge this machine less. It's very ergonomically designed and it's very comfortable to hold and shave and doesn't feel heavy or bulky. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Close Shave!

I think the Braun Series 9095 Electric Shaver is a stylish, easy to use product that I will be using for years. The shave is better than a manual razor and much easier to use. I love the self cleaning and charging station. The convience of this shaver is incredible. I don't have to worry about shaving in the shower now as I can pick the Braun shaver up and be done shaving in not even a two minutes later. I have already recommended this shaving system to my family and friends. This is a wonderful product that takes the guess work out of shaving. Thanks Braun for making such a great shaver! Braun Series 9

Cuts long the dotted line... with shaky hands.

It was really hard for me to rate this product, because though it has some great features and a lot of promise for the right consumer, it misses the mark for me. My facial shaving history started in my teen years with a Panasonic electric shaver. It did exactly what it needed to do, and did it well. When my hair got thicker and I wanted a closer shave, I switched to manual and stuck with it. I really enjoyed the close shave manual razors provided, but hated the irritation. I haven't used electric in over a decade, but decided to give it a second chance with a promise of a better experience than before with no irritation. The design of the Braun Series 9 shaver is spectacular. It simply looks and feels premium. It's solid in the hand and is not too heavy. It's very easy to control for my medium-sized hands. The head of the shaver pivots in a way that works moderately well at hitting facial contours, and the ability to lock the pivot in place works very well when you're hitting flatter areas. It's also not too loud. I suppose it's what you would expect for a device like this; it's noisy, sure, but it's not going to hurt your ears as you use it. It's easy to use, but how about the shave? I've tried this on all lengths of beard: one day, three day, and one week. I can confidently say, after multiple tries, that if you are the kind of person that enjoys a really close shave, you can stop right here. I'm that person, so it's very hard for me to like the results when I consider my shave "done". If you have a fast-growing beard and enjoy having that "five o' clock shadow" look in the evening, this is going to be perfect for you. After my shave, I'm left looking mostly clean, but still feeling a bit stubbly. My significant other can attest, with her preference of a clean, smooth face, that the results are deceptively less than ideal. What's worse, on longer hair, this shaver often completely misses hairs here and there. Also expect a few tugs and pulls (I had three on my first go with the week-long beard). I especially had trouble on the neck and jawline, which is notoriously difficult for a manual razor from the get-go. I had to take about 20 passes on the middle of my neck to get all the hairs. The speed at which you run the shaver over your face makes little difference for the stragglers. It's better to go slow, since it seems more effective overall, but not if you're trying to hit the pesky leftovers. One of the other benefits I tend to enjoy about an electric shaver, the speed of the shave, is marred by its tendency to miss hairs. Getting a full shave tends to take longer than a manual shave, eliminating one of its possible benefits. I was also sorely disappointed by the edger, which I didn't even discover until my second round with the shaver. It sits on the back and pushes out to activate. I have sideburns that I like to keep trimmed and flat at the bottom. It is easy to use, but is terrible at actually shaving the hair. The hair is left longer than the main head of the shaver, and just looks unnatural, like I messed up shaving rather than actually cutting the hair I wanted to cut. The cleaner and included brush are effective that keeping the shaver like new. Setting up the base was a bit challenging but I managed to assemble it without spilling the cleaning fluid. By following the included instructions (brushing the excess hair from under the trimmer head first), after placing the shaver in the cleaning base and pressing the power button, the little machine happily went to work. It's a bit noisy, a little louder than the shaver on its own, but the cleaning process doesn't take too long, so it's tolerable. After the cleaning and drying cycle finishes, the shaver looks pristine, like it's never been used! It still works just as well, and as an added bonus, it will be fully charged! The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to change cleaning "modes"; there are different intensities of cleaning, and I could only activate the "full" one. In closing, if you're the type of person that just needs to keep hair somewhat trimmed, would use this product every day, and don't mind some stubble, this will work for you just fine. For everyone else, especially people that enjoy the benefits of a close manual shave, this is a half-measure and is not for you. If Braun can improve their shaving technology to get closer and hit the "leftover" hairs, then perhaps the next version deserves a closer look. For now, it's a pass for me. Best shave with no discomfort

I have used many different manual and electric shavers in the past. 3 blades, 4 blades, 5 blades, cool technology, etc. They have all done a good enough job but with the blades go dull quickly, they leave a nasty razor burn or the electric shaver just doesn't do a good enough job getting all the hair (no one likes to have to shave 3x in the morning). When I got my BRAUN series 9 I really didn't expect much from it being an electric shaver other than maybe being good for quick touch-ups before going out or such. I was surprisingly wrong. This electric shaver has no replaced all my manual and electric razors I own. It gave a great, clean shave during the first shave and left no irritation or razor burn. My face felt nice and smooth and there where no errant, leftover hair left after my shaving session. The best electric shaver I've used

For the last month or so I have had the opportunity to use the Braun Series 9 shaver in exchange for a honest review. I have not been disappointed, and in fact I can say that by far this is the best electric shaver I've ever used. Some background. Over the years I have mainly used electric shavers, and that has been for two reasons. First, I have some skin issues which have often been exacerbated by manual shaving, and, second, I dislike the hassle and mess of a blade razor with shaving cream and water. But a few years ago I discovered that I was getting older the electric shavers just didn't "cut it", and so increasingly I would use a quality manual shaving system on days when I wanted or needed a real clean shave. Other than that, my electrics became a stand-by for when I was short on time or did not want to put myself through the hassle. So, when the opportunity came to try the Braun 9095 I was both reluctant and hopeful. Reluctant because I wasn't convinced that this would meet my needs, but hopeful because I've had good experiences with Braun in the past. Over the years I have tried a wide range of shavers, including several Braun's, and I always found that Braun was the best, even if not perfect. The Braun Series 9 is the latest generation shaver from Braun, and they have obviously done everything they could to make it best. Almost everything about this model range speaks high-end: packaging, design, technology, and features. But, of course, the ultimate question is: What kind of shave does it provide? For me, the proof of a good shave is two-fold. How smooth is my skin right after, and how long does it take during the day before my stubble becomes noticeable. My recent experience has been that electric shavers have never left my skin perfectly smooth, and that by late afternoon I was feeling stubble. This is annoying, but as I said before, this is why I go to a manual shave when I want it done right. I can honestly say that after using this new Braun my face is almost the same as it would be with a manual shave. I say almost, because it's probably about 90-95%, meaning that my face is not completely smooth, but pretty close. And definitely improved compared to the other electrics that I own. That close shave is reason enough for me to say that I am sold on the Braun Series 9, and I will continue to use it as my main daily shaver.90- 95% is enough for me to give up the hassle and mess of manual shaving. Apart from the actual shave itself, I have to talk about the other features of this device. Clean and Charge, with its big base to cradle, charge and wash the unit puts this on a higher level than most shavers. When I have seen clean and charge systems like this before I have always thought this was overkill, and not something I would really need. The cleaning function is actually quite impressive, and definitely makes the unit, and prevents the growing accumulation of miniscule hair particles that tend to clog and dirty the device. It works, but of course, there is extra cost by having to purchase expendables to keep it operating. Related to all this is the large base, which has a slight downside: it takes up lots of room on your bathroom counter. It's not insurmountable, but suddenly this becomes an appliance rather than a tool that I can normally keep in a drawer. The shaver is also designed to used wet or dry. To be honest, I didn't try it wet as I have no desire to do so, and nor would I likely do so. But, for those who would find this compelling, it is a definite feature. Having this, however, means that for safety reasons they don't permit the shaver to operated plugged in in the event that the battery has died and you haven't had the opportunity to re-charge it (i.e. during travel). That could be a pain. Apart from what I've said above, there are few negatives that I would note. But, I do find the plastic "metal" on the shaver looks cheap, and lowers the quality look that a high-end device like this should have. Also, on a lesser note, the provision of a small slot in the charge and clean base for the little brush would be a welcome addition. One other request are better instructions. I am convinced that part of the reason some people (probably myself included) have not had as a good a shaving experience with electrics is that they might not be using them correctly. There are some instructions, mostly as international friendly drawing, and a few written ones. But much more could be included, even though most people probably never read them. I did learn, however, that I should keep the shaver at a 45 degree angle, something I never really consciously thought of before. I have tried to implement that, and I believe it has helped give me a better shave because of it. As a tip for anyone who would use this shaver, I have found that I get the best shave by going over my face twice, each 90 degrees off of the other. In addition, be sure to stretch your skin while shaving over a particular area. It makes a big difference. In the end, I am grateful that I took advantage of this opportunity. It has given me renewed enthusiasm for a task that largely dislike every morning. I can again get a close shave without much hassle, and for that I thank Braun. This is a wonderful shaver; not completely perfect, but in my opinion the best electric shave you can buy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Good, not not good enough

This shaver is good, it gets all the hair around my month... It gets my checks, it gets my side burns... But the trimming feature is useless and it can never get the hair on my neck... Like ever... Any angle I use, it's useless... So I wind up using my old trusty 4 blade to finish the job... Furthermore, it takes just as long if not longer than a blade... It pulls a tiny bit, but it's relatively comfortable... I'm all about functionality as an engineer, this product might look fancy, but if it doesn't do what it says it does... What's the point? Love this shaver

I have to say, I love this product. Before using this product, I expected every time I shaved that I would at least cut myself even just once; especially around the curve of my jaw. With this product, there is no worry of that. I have tough hair but sensitive skin, so having this product is just perfect. I've used the Braun pocket shaver when I was in the army and it worked great. I love the idea of an electric shaver. Now, I have proof towards my initial thoughts on this product type. This product does not cut you, at all. The instructions and tips for keeping and maintaining it clean are to be followed to the letter as they will ensure that you spend as little on replacement parts as possible. With as long as I have been using this product, I have to say, that it is worth every penny. Of course, do your homework on the product too. Make sure you are buying the right series for your unique type of skin and hair. Going over problem areas is not a big deal. I have to shave daily for work and this shaver is perfect. If you only shave every two or three days you might have to make a little extra effort. The handling on curves of the face are flawless. The instruction booklet that comes with this product covers a few ways to keep it clean; both on the road and at home. Overall, I love it, I recommend it, and as long as it lasts a few years, then I'll be satisfied with this product. I'll just put this flat out simple, get this product. Either decided on the series that is right for you, and what each series uniquely gives you as far as what their design is suppose to specialize in, but get this product either way. Do not worry about the price tag, it is worth it. I hope this review helps. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Braun Series 9 a Great Shaver

I've had other shavers before, both that I've gotten (cheap) and received as gifts (not so much), and the Braun Series 9 beats them all! It gives a fairly smooth shave, and it's a fast experience. The trimmer covers the tighter areas and any missed spots. Fitting such a large docking base in the bathroom can be a bit of an issue (wife owns most of the counter), but overall a great addition to my grooming toolbox. Braun Series 9 Shaver- Excellent Wet/Dry Razor!

First, I will point out the great things about this razor: Battery Indicator Hygiene Status Indicator Travel Case Automatic Cleaning Wet or Dry Shaving Sharp but comfortable close shave Sleek looks This razor is very nice to the touch, feels solid and well crafted. It cuts very nicely without leaving any irritation and the cleaning features and wet/dry use are awesome. The automatic hygiene indicator is great because it lets you know when it is clean and ready for use. Additionally, the battery indicator is great as you'll know exactly when to charge your razor. Finally, the travel case is excellent and since I use this razor mostly when I travel, that's a key feature to me. As for the cons: This razor is quite expensive, so you will really need to make sure you're going to use it often enough to justify the cost. The last, albeit small con is that this razor is a bit noisy. That's not always a big issue, but if you're trying to shave in the morning and your significant other is asleep, that could be a problem. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Awesome shaver!

What a great shaver! Close comfortable shave with a head that moves with the contours of your face. The self cleaning capability is priceless, or you can clean it yourself under water. It makes sure that the razor is clean and fresh for every shave. One of the best parts of this shaver is the ability to use it in the shower or out. A very, very good SHORT-HAIR razor

I had tried an "older" model Braun razor about a year ago called the Braun CoolTec razor. Though I liked the feel of the CoolTec's cooling technology, I didn't like the razor as a whole at all. The Braun Series 9 has restored my faith in Braun. Funny enough, the first use that this razor got was by my wife when she was wearing a short dress and wanted to do an emergency check for stray little leg-hairs. Any hairs that she has are very fine, as she had laser hair-removal. The Braun Series 9 had NO problem catching any little strays, and her legs bathed in salvation. I usually have a thick beard, so I was skeptical about how this razor would help me, but I was ready to give it a shot. This razor will not help you take down a thick beard, you would need a better trimmer for that. However, the trimmer on this razor extends up when you need to use it and is very good for catching little strays and keeping your beard tidy. I did try the razor on the short hairs around my beard that I had trimmed down using the trimmer, and all I can say is WOW. The Braun Series 9 annihilated the hairs down to the follicles, and you could barely tell that anything had even been there. The cleaning system is really nice for the razor, and will leaving you feeling a lot better about your shaving hygiene. One complaint I will say is that the trimmer on this razor could really be a lot more powerful and make it a great all-in-one razor. MUCH cheaper razors than this one have much better trimmers AND provide normal electric razor heads for all-in-one shaving. Also, when charging this razor, I had to put it into a side room away from all living things, as it randomly made a terribly high pitched noise that I swore was going to drive my dog to insanity. All-in-all, the cleaning system is a nice gimmick with some use to keep your razor clean, however, it really comes down to how good the razor is at cutting hair. For long hair, the razor will struggle to trim. However, it will keep the sides of a beard nice and neat with its little trimmer. The real shining aspect of this razor is its head that can really take care of short hair and provide a nice, clean-shaven face. If you clean-shave daily or every couple of days, this razor will do wonders for you. I also highly recommend it for any women who are waging a war on the tiny little hairs on their legs :)! The Silk-expert is a delight

"

My opinion of the Braun Silk-expert has gone from strength to strength, it's been so easy to use and a delight to try out, I have been delighted with the results over the last 4 weeks and I'm so happy with the fact I am seeing less hair grow and at a slower rate than usual. This is a great product and really has changed the way I feel about IPL in a positive way! Thanks Braun.
