How to do it?
You can find instructions and advice on home composting on several websites.
You can treat our plant-based fibers wipes as “woody brown material” together with prunings, wood chippings, paper, cardboard, straw, or dead leaves, which should be balanced with “soft green materials” such as grass clippings, annual weeds, vegetable kitchen waste, or manure.
However, be careful not to overload the compost heap with our compostable wipes! Do not compost through local council without first checking admissibility of wipes.
Flash plastic-free wipes are biodegradable according to ISO 14855. Home composting conditions, following this ISO method, should result in 90% biodegradation within a period of 6 months in a controlled composting test at compost heap inside temperature of 28°C. Temperature inside home compost bins or system is found to be between 20 - 30°C, i.e., usually higher than the outdoor air temperature.
If the Flash Plastic Free Wipes have been used for wiping non-compostable messes, such as pet wastes, please dispose of wipes in the household bin, and never flush wipes and do not discard in nature. Otherwise, they can be disposed in a home compost heap.
*90% within 180 days following ISO 14855. Do not compost through local council without first checking admissibility of wipes. Do not compost if used to clean animal waste.
