Special dates for the diary

All month
Movember

All month long, men will be growing and grooming their moustaches in search of sponsorship for men’s health issues. If your other half is cultivating some face fuzz, you and the kids could get some fun fake moustaches to show your support or get active with Move for Movember. Find out more at The Movember Foundation.

Sunday November 5
Bonfire Night

The nights are drawing in and that can only mean one thing: time for a blazing bonfire, dazzling fireworks, hotdogs and toffee apples. Check out some ideas for a bonfire night party here.

Sunday November 12

Wear your poppies with pride to support The Royal British Legion in its work with veterans and honour the two-minute silence at 11am to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Monday November 13-Friday November 17
Anti-Bullying Week

With many schools running events for Anti-Bullying Week, now’s a great time to start conversations with your kids about staying safe online and treating each other with respect. You can find out more, nominate a supportive teacher for a Power of Good Award and learn how you can fundraise to help stop bullying at the website of the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

Thursday November 23
Thanksgiving

All those US TV shows make Thanksgiving so inviting that it’s no wonder many Brits are hosting their own feasts for fun. Take a look at our guide to giving thanks like an American.

Friday November 24
