I always coax all my family members to help with certain chores! Its practical experience for them to realise that regular home cleaning is essential these days and in their future homes!

An idea myself and a friend came up with to get the kids to help with the cleaning that worked for us...* Turn a few chores/jobs into a treasure hunt e.g. loading the washing machine hide the clue in a item of clothing but put blank paper in the rest of the clothing for that wash ...they have load the laundry into machine and the number of blank +the clue will lead them to the next task ... the treasure can be anything u find suitable/appropriate

My son , aged 3 at the time, poured aa 2 litre bottle of Lenor into my washing machine. Luckily the big box of Ariel he also used missed the draw so I could sweeo it up and pit it back in the box. I did have child locks on the cupboards at the time so had to start using a very very high shelf.

my little girl loves taking part in cleaning activities and takes great joy and pride in her achievements - this will generally involve half a bottle of Fairy, a whole toilet roll, lots of water and giggles!!
