What do they eat and wear in Russia anyway? And do they sell it at the corner shop? Because that’s the only place open at 9.30pm on a Monday night.

In the end I send Evie to school wearing a Babushka headscarf, feeling pretty chuffed with myself for pulling it out of the bag. Although, if I’m honest, she does look more like my Gran taking her pug for a walk, circa 1974.
