Baked chicken nuggets in 20 minutes

Make ‘fast-food’ without the hassle of hovering over a frying pan.


Ingredients (serves 5 people)

  • 6 boned
  • skinned chicken breasts
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 100ml water
  • Optionally add ½ tsp garlic or Bouillon powder

Directions

  1. Cut 6 boned, skinned chicken breasts into nugget sizes.


  2. Mix 100g breadcrumbs with seasoning according to taste, eg ½ tsp garlic or Bouillon powder, herbs, etc and put into a large plastic bag.


  3. Mix 2 egg whites with about 100ml water then dip each nugget in this mixture.


  4. Put each egg coated nugget into the bag of seasoning and give it a good shake so each is nicely coated, then place on a greased baking tray.


  5. Bake the nuggets for about 15 minutes in a preheated oven at gas mark 6 (200ºC or 400ºF), turning to ensure they are golden brown and cooked through.
