Dairy-free treat recipes (Chewy Flapjacks)

Chewy Flapjacks - an easy yummy idea for children and guests who have a dairy allergy or intolerance.


Ingredients (serves 12 people)

  • 125g Soya spread
  • 125g soft brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp golden syrup
  • 250g oats

Directions

  1. Slowly melt 125g each of soya spread and soft brown sugar, adding 3 tablespoons of golden syrup as the sugar and spread begin to mix.


  2. Take this off the heat and stir in 250g oats then press this mixture into a 2cm layer on a lightly greased baking tin.


  3. This should make 10 to 20 flapjack bites. Bake for 15-20 minutes at gas mark 4 (180°C or 350°F).
