Time-saving teatime recipes (Cooked ham)

Useful ideas to make family teatime easier. Cooked ham offers time-saving freedom – thrown into salads, on pasta or at the centre of a meat and two veg dinner.


Ingredients (serves 5 people)

  • Ham
  • peas
  • sweetcorn
  • butter cheese
  • flour
  • 500ml milk
  • breadcrumbs
  • parmesan.

Directions

  1. Dice ham and add to an oven-proof dish with uncooked frozen peas and sweetcorn


  2. Pour over a homemade cheese sauce (make a paste with a melted knob of butter and tablespoon of flour, then stir in and simmer 500ml milk until smooth, adding grated mature cheese)


  3. Top the dish with breadcrumbs mixed with grated parmesan and bake for 20 minutes.
