Time-saving teatime recipes (Homebaked chips)

Useful ideas to make family teatime easier. Baking fries allows you to get on with other things and they are a cheap alternative to readymade fries.


Ingredients (serves 5 people)

  • Potatoes
  • olive oil
  • chicken breast
  • half a stock cube

Directions

  1. Put cut potatoes sticks in a pan of cold water


  2. Parboil for about 8 minutes


  3. Drain then place in an oven-proof dish with a very light drizzle of olive oil and bake for 15-20 minutes.


  4. While the oven is on bake strips of chicken breast lightly rubbed with oil with half a stock cube mashed into it (make sure it’s cooked through before serving).
