Homemade Pizza (Pizza au pesto)

Let your kids help make these easy homemade pizzas! They are healthier than a bought pizza and more cost efficient and with three different toppings everyone can enjoy a slice, even your picky kids!

Ingredients (serves 5 people)

  • Base: 450g of flour
  • half a teaspoon of dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon of caster sugar
  • 300ml of lukewarm water
  • a pinch of salt. Topping:Jar of pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, 3 different cheeses (e.g. Mozzarella, goat cheese, cheddar).

  1. Mix the sugar and yeast in the water and leave for a few minutes. Mix the flour with the salt in a bowl and make a little well in the middle.

  2. Add the yeast and water and a little olive oil to the well in the flour. Mix everything into the bowl and knead until you get a shiny, elastic dough.

  3. Cover the dough with flour and leave it in a warm place for about an hour until it has doubled in size.

  4. Cut the dough into 4 equal pieces.

  5. Roll out the dough until you have a circle with a diameter of 25 cm.

  6. Cover the base with pesto (so no tomatoes), sprinkle the sun-dried tomatoes and the crumbled cheese on top.

  7. Cook in a preheated oven at 250°C until crisp and golden.
