Perfect TV Dinners recipes: Lamb

If tea time also equals telly time in your house, these are perfect for eating with your fingers while concentrating on your favourite programme

Ingredients (serves 2 people)

  • 500g lamb mince
  • Handful of breadcrumbs
  • Three large onions
  • Garlic
  • Fresh or dried herbs
  • 15 cherry tomatoes
  • Red/orange or yellow pepper (3 in total – choose colours from your favourites

  1. Really simple to make, with the tiniest list of ingredients. Whizz these up and serve on skewers with a side dish of lush cherry tomatoes, also on cocktail sticks. Dead easy to eat.

  2. Stir 500g lamb mince so that its fat is well mixed into the meat, then also stir in one finely chopped large onion and one clove of garlic finely chopped. Add herbs like mint or rosemary to taste. (Do add at least some herbs as it will bring out the flavour of the lamb.)

  3. Roll small handfuls of the mince mixture into balls about the size of golf balls.

  4. Thread onto skewers alternating with chunks of onion, pepper and tomato.

  5. Pop under the grill for around 10-15 mins, depending on how well cooked you like your lamb.
