Recycle your trigger tops and flip caps – help charities too
You’ve always been able to recycle your Febreze and Fairy Liquid bottles. Soon, you’ll be able to do the same for flip caps and trigger tops (the mechanism that lets you spray your favourite Febreze fragrance).
It’s all part of an initiative Febreze is trialling with the help of Tesco, selected local councils and other industry bodies. Your recycling efforts will not only help the environment, but could help charities too.
We know how much you care about the environment. And until now, you’ve only been able to recycle the Febreze and Fairy Liquid plastic bottles; it hasn’t been possible to recycle trigger tops or flip caps. So we’re pleased to announce that Febreze is trialling a sustainable solution to recycle trigger tops and flip caps.
Trials in Somerset and Gloucestershire
To start, local trials will take place across Somerset and Gloucestershire. If you live in or pass through these areas, you’ll be able to take your trigger tops and flip caps from air and home care plastic bottles, such as Febreze and Fairy, to Household Recycling Centres or specific large Tesco stores across the two counties. Help for good causes across the UK
Febreze is also partnering with TerraCycle, the world leader in recycling difficult waste that would otherwise be destined for landfill. TerraCycle’s Air and Home Care Brigades collect trigger tops and flip caps for recycling in return for a charity donation.
Sign up now and help the charity of your choice
You can get involved by registering to set up your own Air and Home Care Brigade with Febreze and TerraCycle. Your Brigade can help raise money for the school, charity, or non-profit organisation of your choice. And of course, you’ll also be helping our environment in the process!
