In this edition of our “First Tampon Stories” video series, Shae admits she was confused about where exactly her tampon should go.
Luckily she had her older sister around to advise her, and it’s a good idea to make sure your daughter is comfortable asking questions like Shae’s, without embarrassment.
If your daughter’s at the age when she might consider using tampons, make sure you bring the topic up with her, as she will likely be too embarrassed to approach you first.
Try bringing it up on the way to a girly shopping trip – then you can buy some Tampax tampons together, talk her through it, and let her know you are there to answer any questions she may have.
Watch our video to find out more about what sort of questions your daughter might have, and if you feel nervous to talk to her about it, you could always share this video with her to start the conversation.
