Where to lay your lavender
Some scents work better in certain places than others – let’s look at some of your favourites and see where they might be most effective.
Unsurprisingly, lavender is really popular. Its soft, dreamy scent can aid relaxation and sleep, and Ambi Pur offers three lavender choices – Lavender Sensations, Lavender Countryside and new Moonlit Lavender. If lavender’s a bit too ‘on the nose’ for you, consider Quiet Jasmine or Warm Milk and Honey.
Besides the bedroom, this is where you probably spend most of your time, so the scent should really reflect who you are. That’s a nice way of saying there are no hard and fast rules! Many choose floral aromas, and from the light freshness of Ambi Pur White Petals to the headier fragrance of Vanilla Bouquet, there are plenty of choices.
Fresh, uplifting scents that complement those enticing food smells work well here. Citrus aromas, like Ambi Pur Refreshing Citrus Twist, are always popular as they’re so joyful and sunny.
Go with clean and fresh – Ambi Pur Coastal Escape or Cotton Fresh are ideal. Crisp scents work well, too, and these will banish any memories of disinfectant from the 80s. Alternatively, if you’re a purist, there’s nothing like Natural Soap.
Here’s where a subtle touch works well. Anything that reminds people of food can be really effective, and you can create a lovely effect with food accent scents like Ambi Pur Vanilla or Wild Berries.
If you’re lucky enough to have a conservatory, you’ve a birds-eye view of your own garden. So why not bring the outdoors indoors, with fresh flower scents like Ambi Pur Wildflower or Elegant Flowers?
Unless you receive visitors via the back door (and it’s your house, you can do what you like) the hallway is probably the first room they’ll see when they come into your home. Ambi Pur scents like Bright New Morning, Natural Soap or White Petals are light, clean and welcoming.
Ambi Pur with a touch of Febreze gets rid of any unpleasant odours, and then replaces these with something altogether more pleasing to your nose.
