As women, we get a lot of mixed messages. On the one hand, we can often feel that we’re not enough – not clever enough, not pretty enough, not a good enough mum.

But then on other hand, we can be made to feel that we’re just too much at the same time – too ambitious, too loud, too confident, too weak, too emotional.

Olay’s #FaceAnything Campaign is dedicated to women who are totally owning their attributes and not letting the world make them feel bad for being themselves.

Olay is also running a partnership with the Young Women’s Trust, which aims to raise £100k to support their Coaching Service that will help 500 young women to develop both skills and strong mental health so that they can truly #FaceAnything. You can donate to their amazing cause here and Olay will match all donations!

Like the nine women in the campaign, here’s how you too can feel better and more confident in your own skin…

1. Be true to yourself

Perfection is an unrealistic standard to set yourself. Instead, focus on being you. No one’s life runs perfectly smoothly. Things go wrong all the time, but don’t beat yourself up when they do – reflect and go again!

2. Flip your flaws

If there is something don’t like about yourself, whether that’s a physical feature or a character trait, think about how your friend would describe this aspect of you. The chances are, they’ll put it in a positive light - learn to do that for yourself and you’re winning!

3. Get some sleep

Easier said than done when there are little people waking you up through the night or at the crack of dawn, we know. But everything looks and feels better if you’re rested and refreshed from a decent night’s kip.
To make the most of your slumber, treat your skin to some TLC. After cleansing, apply Olay Anti-Wrinkle Firm and Life 2In1 Day Cream and Firming Serum and follow it with Olay Regenerist 3 Point Night Anti-Ageing Moisturiser.

4. Pick positive people

When you’re on a downer, getting together with a mate for a moan might seem like a good idea. But offloading on the wrong person can leave you feeling worse if their negativity leads you to spiral further downwards. Surrounding yourself with positive people can prevent this – even if it’s just a virtual get together via video call!

5. Release the pressure

One thing that unites all the women in Olay’s #FaceAnything campaign is that they are unapologetically themselves. They don’t give time or headspace to criticism that they are too much or not enough.

Take their lead and try to do the same. Once you stop trying to be something you’re not, you can focus on what you are and appreciate yourself more.

6. Take time out

A little bit of me-time can go a long way when you’re feeling frazzled. Even if a spa weekend is out of the question, you can still lock the bathroom door and give yourself a tiny treat. Using an Olay Clay Stick Mask Fresh Reset Pink Mineral Complex [Link to: https://www.supersavvyme.co.uk/brands/olay/olay-masks-fresh-reset-pink] not only refreshes and polishes your complexion, but there’s no mess to clean up afterwards. And for a little treat at the end of each day, use Olay Daily Facials 5-in-1 Dry Cloths to take the day off and leave your skin hydrated.
