Busting the “tampons are painful” myth

Your daughter has probably been told at some point that tampons hurt, but we’re here to help explain that shouldn’t be the case.

In this edition of our “First Tampon Stories” video series, Mia is so concerned about tampon pain, she wants to design an app to help pinpoint the pain and the problem.

But her mum explains, just as you will likely need to do to your daughter, that any pain can be easily resolved as it’s for one of three reasons:

1. The tampon isn’t fully inserted

2. She is trying to remove it too soon

3. It is too high in absorbency for her flow

Watch the video above for more on how to help her put an end to potential tampon pain.
