500g frozen strawberries (no need to defrost)
100g caster sugar
300g double cream
Make the ice cream
This process is really quick so if you wanted to make a super-fresh dessert for guests you could nip out to kitchen and make the ice cream just before you need it.
- Whizz the frozen fruit in a blender.
- Whip the double cream and the sugar together then add this a few spoonfuls at a time to the fruit.
- Mix this together in the blender for a few more seconds.
Top tip from Eleanor (9): ‘My brother doesn’t like strawberry flavour puddings so we use frozen raspberries if he’s in a fussy mood!’
Serve or store your ice cream
For a soft, creamy chilled dessert, serve in tubs immediately.
Alternatively, spoon the mixture into a freezeable tub and freeze for two hours then it’s ready to serve.
